Qatar Foundation for Social Work signs a memorandum of understanding with the "Enabling the World" or​ganization

The Qatar Foundation for Social Work affiliated to the Ministry of Social Development and Family signed yesterday a memorandum of understanding with the "Enabled World" organization, which is represented by Dr. Victor Santiago Pineda in his capacity as President, and which is located in the United States of America and is a global advisory group in the field of education, communications and strategic consultancy, in order to determine the frameworks of cooperation between the two parties with the aim of pursuing the implementation of innovative and influential programs in the areas of accessibility for persons with disabilities, digital inclusion, and comprehensive urban developments. The signing of this agreement came on the sidelines of the Foundation's participation in the activities of the World Innovation Summit from 4 to 6 October.

The agreement aims at mutual cooperation between the two parties through several items, including without limitation, capacity-building in the areas of comprehensive design and inclusive smart cities, consultation on social policy, accessibility, integration into society, research in the areas of accessibility, rights of persons with disabilities, social policy, and cooperation in mobilizing opinion and support for the rights of persons with disabilities and their integration into sustainable development plans and goals by contributing to their expertise in joint activities by providing the necessary resources for the development of specific activities as well as exchanging information on the respective websites of both parties about the joint projects that have been undertaken and are under implementation.

The agreement was signed on the part of the Foundation by Mrs. La'a Abu Al-Fin, Executive Director of the Shafallah Center on behalf of the CEO. Commenting on the importance of the memorandum, Abu Al-Fin stated that it is a pleasure for the Foundation to sign this agreement, which is in line with the Foundation's strategy and with the aim of developing policies and advocating for the rights of persons with disabilities by taking advantage of the expertise of International bodies such as Enabled World.

Dr. Victor Santiago Pineda, President of the Enabled World Organization, confirmed that he is happy to sign this agreement in order to build inclusive societies where people with disabilities and the elderly can fully develop their talents and realize their full potential.
